Hosting an event

Making a room

Use the homepage button to create your room.

You arrive using a host link — only share that link with co-hosts. Get a guest link from the settings ⚙ panel.

After you've entered, your browser remembers you're the host, even if you use a guest link.

It's fine to leave a party early — the room will stay open for the guests even without a host.

Decorating the room

The settings ⚙ panel is where you control the room environment.

Pick a room theme in the settings “room” tab.

Hubbub rooms resize-to-fit as people arrive, but you can adjust the minimum size and ceiling height.

Set up room objects in the settings “objects” tab.

Corkboards let attendees post notes and images.

Posting is only allowed when there's a host in the room, so you can review and arrange them.

Posters are any image file, which you can upload and arrange.

If you add an optional URL to a poster, users will see a link and QR code when they click on the poster.

The radio, when enabled, lets you play a soundtrack in the room. You'll see it in the north-west corner. Clicking on it shows the operating instructions.

The mirror, when enabled, appears in the south-east corner.

Managing access

You can set an optional password and password-page message for the room.

Many people set a password while decorating and remove the password before the event.

As host, you can remove guests from the room if there's a problem — tap on their avatar and open the “moderation” section, or modify their privileges in the settings ⚙ “attendees” tab.
